Classes for two different levels
1. Beginner+ Class

Class Overview:
Students are expected to already know how the pieces move and know several basic checkmates. In class students will continue to learn new techniques and progress to more difficult checkmates and tactical patterns. We will learn an opening repertoire to use for the White and Black pieces to start out the game. We will also continue to learn about chess notation and tournament chess rules, and working towards improving tournament play.
Teacher:
Both classes will be taught by coach Master Max from Grand Master Mackenzie Molner's Chess Academy. Coach Max also taught our 2024 chess summer camp and our 2024 Fall season chess classes. Coach Max is very articulate, engaging, and kids friendly. He is well respected and liked by all his students.

Tuition and Fee:
$360 （for a total of 12-week class, 1 hour class per week)
There is a $25 enrollment fee for New Student Registration Only.

- Students who start learning to play chess, or
- Students who took our beginner class before but are not yet ready to move up to the intermediate class.
Pre-requisite:
- Students who took our Intermediate class before, and want to further develop chess skills and participate in tournaments. Or,
- Students who pass coach's placement test for this class. Or,
- Students who have USCF rating 200 - 400
