In December 2023, we have successfully completed our 12-week long Beginner Class (Pawn Class) and Intermediate Class (Knight class). Now, we are offering Beginner+ and Intermediate+ classes in the Spring 2024 for students to further develop their skills in chess. Both classes are on Saturdays, from 10 am - 11 am, starting from January 20th, 2024. They will be taught by Grand Master Molner and his associate.

Our Instructor - Grand Master Mackenzie Molner
US Open Co-Champion and 4 times New Jersey State Champion.

A top US Grand Master with many national titles to his name, including being the 2013 US Open Co-Champion and 4-time New Jersey State Champion.
Grand Master Mackenzie has coached many state and national championship teams and players, even coaching the United States World Youth Team student to a World Championship. He has transitioned fully to coaching from playing and looks forward to helping bring up the New Jersey chess community where he grew up. |
Classes
Dates and Time:
- Saturdays, 1/20,27, 2/3,24, 3/2,9,16,23, 4/6,13,20,27 in 2024
- 10 am - 11 am
Classes for three different levels
1. Beginner + Class
Pre-requisite: students who have finished our Fall 2023 Chess Beginner class (Pawn class), and need more practice to move up to our intermediate class.
2. Intermediate + Class
Pre-requisite: students who have finished our Fall 2023 Chess intermediate (Knight class) class or USCF rating 300 - 500
Class Overview:
Students are expected to already know how the pieces move and know several basic checkmates. In class students will continue to learn new techniques and progress to more difficult checkmates and tactical patterns. We will learn an opening repertoire to use for the White and Black pieces to start out the game. We will also continue to learn about chess notation and tournament chess rules, and working towards improving tournament play.

Tuition and Fee:
$360 (for a total of 12-week class, 1 hour class per week)
