Chinese Immersion Camp 
Do you know the most effective way to learn a 2nd language or any language is to learn in an immersive way?  
This is the ninth year Koo Chinese Academy offers a Chinese Immersion Camp for our young Chinese Language Learners!

Features
  1. Total Immersion Chinese Enrollment -- Fun and immersive！
  2. Flexible Camp Hour - can choose full day camp (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM），Morning half day camp (8:30 AM - 1 PM）or Afternoon half day camp (1 PM - 5:30 PM） 
  3. Weekly interesting Themes -- such as Chinese Cuisine, Chinese Cultural Heritage, Olympics and Sports, Performance,   Science and Technology, etc. 
  4. Weekly Field Trip -- full day trip on Fridays, destinations include Laser tag， Bowling， Farm， Zoo, Science Center, Mining museum, etc. 
  5. Stage Performance  
  6. Outdoor and Sports everyday - playground, field
  7. Fresh Lunch every day -- healthy, nutritional, can order daily. Snacks twice daily for free.  

​Weekly Theme： （two theme based class/activities in the morning and afternoon, Monday through Thursday)
week 1 (6/27 - 7/1):  Olympics and Sports
week 2 (7/5 - 8)：    Crazy Chinese Characters and Language
week 3 (7/11 - 15)：Chinese Cultural Heritage (Architecture, embroidery, humanities, etc）
week 4 (7/18 - 22)：Life changing science and technology  （tools, communication, transportation, etc）
week 5 (7/25 - 29):  Chinese Cuisine and history 
week 6 (8/1 - 5)： Chinese ancient cities and modern cities  
week 7 (8/8 - 12)：Earth and Universe 
week 8&9 (8/15 - 26)：Stage Performance  (we will have stage performance on Friday August 26th, in the afternoon) 
week 10 (8/29 -9/2)：  World Cuisine 
Daily Activities
​- Weekly Theme, Theme based project and activities: Creative, Teamwork, Total Chinese Immersion！
- Daily Chinese Games, Learn by playing.  
- Small Group Size
​- Outdoor Activities in Playground and Field
- Chinese Elements: Games, Culture, History， Legends and Myth， etc. 
Lunch：
Campers can bring their own lunches, or order lunch from us which is $7 per day. Click to see the Lunch Menu.

Location： Basking Ridge Campus

June 27th - September 2nd  (total 10 weeks)
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Can pick any weeks to enroll!

Age：5 - 10 岁
Three groups: Star group: 5 - 6 yr old, Moon group: 7 - 8 yr old, Sun group: 9 - 10 yr old

​Price：   
  • Full Day Camp: $350/week
  • Half Day Camp: $200/week  (can be combined with another half day camp of the week to become a full day camp) 
  • Field Trip: $40/week to cover the bus and ticket
  • No camp on July 4th，the price for the week of July 4th (week 2) will be 4/5 of the regular price.

A Typical Chinese Immersion Camp Day
Morning
  • Drop off  （8:30 - 9:00 am)
  • Outdoor activities （ 9 - 9:45 am）
  • Theme Based Class I （9:45 - 10:45am）
  • Snack (10:45 - 11 am)
  • Theme Based Activity II (11 - 12 am）
  • Lunch （12 - 12:45pm）
  • Parents pick up for Morning Half Day campers（12：45 - 1 pm）
Afternoon
  • Free Play  （12:45 - 1:30pm）
  • Drop off of Afternoon half day campers （1 - 1:30 pm)
  • Theme Based Class III （1:30 - 2:30 pm)
