Innovation, Improvement, reaching the Next Higher Level!
This is our 5th year's Total Immersion Chinese Summer camp! In the past four years, we have made great strides in building a great Language Environment for our campers to "acquire" the Chinese language in an Fun, Engaging and Immersive way! Kids have been really enjoying learning the Chinese language in a natural and fun way while their parents have seen great results from them. The success along with the reputation and word of mouths have empowered us to have 100% increase year over year in terms of total number of campers. Our summer camp is balanced with outdoor activities and indoor theme-based project-oriented learning and discussion. Each week, we focus our activities of one theme. Each week, there is a field trip day. We want to help our campers to have a broader vision, to build stronger bodies, and to cultivate sunny and positive attitude by attending our summer camp. This year's summer camp is a great step forward. We have made great improvement in the following five area: 1. Larger Campus - our Basking Ridge Campus has doubled its size to accommodate growth and expansion. We can accommodate more kids and more diverse activities. 2. More fun and engaging themes and activities - This year's summer camp, we have weekly themes that cover magic show, cooking and food, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), traditional Chinese handicraft, traditional Chinese movie making, Chinese Calligraphy and Arts, Debate, Jeopardy, Chinese Drama, Comic Skits, Singing and Dancing, etc. |
3. More age-appropriate Field Trips - We replace quite a few field trip sites with more interesting, more age-appropriate and educational sites. We extend many of our field trips to a full day event.
4. More opportunities for on-stage performance and competition - In addition to our traditional performance show at the end of our summer camp, we have added magic show, debate and Chinese Jeopardy in various time of our summer camp. 5. More bilingual STEAM subjects and programs - We allocate two weeks to focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) subjects which include science experiments, Sudoku, Chinese Chess, basic and intermediate computer programming classes and horrible math class. Learning foreign language through STEAM is the latest initiative in Foreign Language Teaching. STEAM Subject's practicality and fun provide good and natural material in foreign language learning. |
