Major Program Activities
- Students will be provided with Five Hours of various Chinese Classes per week at no additional charge
1. Two one-hour classes of Chinese Language and Arts (Required)
Student will be enrolled into an appropriate grade to have two classes per week, 60 minutes per class. Students will attend either Heritage Chinese Class or Chinese as Second Language Class (CSL) based on their language environment at home.
2. Optional one-hour Chinese Culture Class (Selective)
3. Optional one-hour Intensive Listening Class (Selective)
- Teacher guided listening to authentic Chinese conversation and stories, speeches and, etc.
4. Optional one-hour Speaking Class (Selective)
- Teacher guided speaking class to allow students to have real-life conversation, presentation, show and tell, etc.
- Students will get time and guidance to complete their homework.
- Students can read Chinese books in our library and borrow books home.
Teacher guided book picking, reading, borrowing, etc.
- Students can watch authentic Chinese Videos under teachers' guidance
- Students will have time to play board game, make friends and have free play.
- Optional Art, Craft Classes when available.
